"Staley's was opened in 1955 by Robert Staley Sr. in Mankato, MN as a Texaco gas station with an upholstery workshop in the back. In 1975 Robert Staley Jr. claimed ownership and expanded to recovering automotive interiors, airplane interiors, marine upholstery, commercial furniture, and pretty much everything that came through the door. Most of my childhood was spent in the upholstery shop and inevitably I developed a passion for the industry. In 2006 I partnered with Robert full time, and took over the business upon his passing in 2014. It has taken over a decade, thousands of hours behind a sewing machine, patience, concentration and confidence to develop the skills necessary to carry on the Staley’s Upholstery name. Without faith, passion, encouragement and the support of family and friends, the Staley’s legacy would have died with Robert. I was raised to have integrity; to be honest, straight forward, friendly, and fair. These are the core values that pump life into Staley's Upholstery.”
